How To Get Darkdale Armor In God Of War Ragnarok

The Darkdale Armor Set is part of the pre-order items for GoW Ragnarok. This guide on How To Get Darkdale Armor In God Of War Ragnarok will tell you how you can unlock this armor if you pre-ordered the game or purchased one of the special Editions on either PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4.

It’s important to note that the Darkdale armor set is only available if you pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition of God of War Ragnarok, or the physical equivalent. It consists of the Darkdale Plackart, the Darkdale Arm Guards, and the Darkdale Waist Guard, enough to full gear Kratos with a decent armor set right at the start. It’s a decent set of armor and upgrades well but is very easily replaced in a few hours so if you didn’t get the pre-order versions that come with the goodies, it’s not a huge loss.

How To Get Darkdale Armor In God Of War Ragnarok

To unlock the Darkdale Armor Set you simply need to follow the main story. I won’t include any spoilers here but it’s only a short distance into the game, maybe 1-2 hours. Eventually you will meet up with the Dwarves at a special safe location. One of the Dwarves will guide you through the process of upgrading your equipment before telling you that he has found some supplies you miss and put them in a box.

There’s a huge box right next to where the Dwarf is standing, you can’t miss it. Simply loot the box to get all of the DLC items.

  • Follow the main story for about 1-2.5 hours
  • Eventually you will meet both of the Dwarves from the original God of War game at a special location
  • After the introduction to upgrading your gear, loot the huge chest next to you to get your Darkdale Armor Set (it’s near impossible to miss)
The Guiding Light Armor set is a set you can find on Midgard. This guide on Where To Find The Guiding Light Armor Set In God Of War Ragnarok will walk you through finding each of the three pieces so you can complete the Guiding Light Armor Set and use it for Kratos in the future. It's a pretty strong set, so it's very much worth collecting.
Getting new Runic Attacks in GoW Ragnarok will let you pummel enemies even harder. Check out this God Of War Ragnarok Runic Attack Location Guide to find them all as you go along. This way you can try out new combos and skills.
There are many hidden treasure maps in GoW Ragnarok. This God Of War Ragnarok Under The Rainbow Treasure Map Solution Guide will tell you everything you need to know about the Under the Rainbow Treasure Map including where you can find the treasure map and how you can solve it.
Have you seen the strange metal objects blowing out wind? This guide on How To Interact With Metal Wind Nodes In God Of War Ragnarok explains how you can use these special environmental objects to explore new areas during Kratos' adventure as you can discover them very early in the story but cannot interact with them until much later.

Blaine "Captain Camper" Smith is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Now operating under the guise of Editor-in-Chief (purely because we felt the position was needed for public relations purposes), he's tasked with a lot of the kind of jobs that would put you to sleep at your desk. When he's not catching some Zs, you'll likely find him arguing points he knows nothing about, playing the latest rogue-like he'll never complete, or breaking something on the website that never needed fixing.
