Every Hero in Battleborn has 2 unique objectives that you can complete to unlock them for use in story and multiplayer mode. You only need to complete one of the objectives to unlock the Hero, not both. As each Hero has 2 different methods of unlocking, there is usually one that is much easier than the other – such as reaching level 24 or completing a certain story mode mission, the latter being much easier and quicker.
Every Hero has a rank unlock, meaning you have to reach a certain level before they become available, and a challenge unlock that requires you to complete specific objectives before they are unlocked.
