Virbank City Gym

Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 Guide Aspertia City Gym Guide 3
The Virbank City Gym is the second Gym that you will come across. You will come across this gym very quickly after getting into Virbank City. The best area to train before heading to this gym is the Virbank Complex. There are some interesting pokemon there to catch like Growlith and Magby. This is also a good spot to pick up Magnimite. The gym has 2 trainers for warm up and no tricks for getting to the leader. Jump on stage and make sure to Poke Battle with the drummer and the guitarist before challenging Roxie.

Our Pokemon:

Pokemon Level type
Pidove 18 Flying/Normal
Psyduck 18 Water
Purrloin 18 Dark
Servine 18 Grass
Flaffy 18 Electric
Lucario 18 Fighting/Steel

Psyduck can be the main star of this gym. The Virbank City Gym is all about poison. Psyduck learns Confusion very early. You can grab one in the Floccesy Ranch area where you and your rival look for a lost Pokemon. Some of the Pokemon are part bug type as well so a good flying Pokemon like Pidove could come in handy.

Gym Trainers Pokemon:

Guitarist Billy Jo:

Pokemon Level type
Venipede 14 Bug/Poison
Koffing 14 Poison
Roughneck Nicky(the drummer):

Pokemon Level type
Grimer 14 Poison
Koffing 14 Poison

These trainers are super easy if you have the right leveled Pokemon. Just make sure you have a couple of Pokemon leveled up past 14 and maybe have some Antidotes for poison. Make sure also to heal up before heading to the Gym Leader.

Gym Leader Roxie’s Pokemon:

Pokemon Level type
Koffing 16 Poison
Whirlipede 18 Bug/Poison

This gym leader has one move that can be annoying. The move Venoshock is a poison type move that can hurt. The power is 65 and doubles if your Pokemon is already poisoned. Switch out your Pokemon before Whirlipede if they are already poisoned. After beating Rockie she will give you your second Gym Bage, named the toxic badge, and TM09 which is Venoshock.
