13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Coming to Nintendo Switch April 12

The latest title from the studio behind Odin Sphere and Dragon’s Crown, Vanillaware and Atlus West’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will make its way to the Nintendo Switch on April 12, 2021.

Previously released on the PlayStation 4, this title is neatly divided between side-scrolling adventure segments and real-time strategy battles. Players will be transported to 1980s Japan as they experience a war between monstrous kaiju and mechas.

Thirteen different characters are playable, each of which interact with each other to build a larger narrative. The concept for a story that features multiple protagonists was pulled from the long-running television series Chūgakusei Nikki, which in turn was based on Feel Comics’ comic from the Feel Young magazine.
