Everything about rayman legends

Rayman Origins may be one of my favorite games from last year. The music and animation flow together seamlessly and adorably. The new game in the Ubisoft franchised is Rayman Legends and it looks like it expands on the already kooky nature that was outlined in Rayman Origins. Quirky music sequences and all types of platforming fun are in the future across all platforms.

Ubisoft took a significant amount of time at their E3 presentation to show off some of the new features for the Wii U version of Rayman Legends. Some sections have a player swipe, tap, and control aspects of the environment to lead Rayman and friends through levels. This new level of interactiveness will keep players looking at both the tv and the Wii U GamePad to find all of the secrets that were so addicting in Rayman Origins.

The music, like Rayman Origins, sounds endearing and fun. Ukulele, kazoos, and bright voices go along with the platforming perfectly. It also looks like music will play a bigger role on the Wii U. During the conference Ubisoft showed a player tapping in spots on the screen in rhythm to advance the play. Some may see this as a little gimmicky but the music played such a big part of enjoyment in Origins so I believe it could be fun. As long as the developers don’t use this mechanic to heavily, I believe it will be a nice way of expanding the Rayman experience.

The new gameplay showed Rayman in a castle setting. Other trailers also show this same kind of level design. The previous game Origins took place in multiple different backdrops so I’m sure there are a bunch more environments left to see as the launch date gets closer.

I know this game is a must buy for me when the Wii U launches but what do you guys think? Would you buy Rayman Legends on Wii U or just get it for a console you already own? Have you checked out Rayman Origins? Hit us up in the comments.
