Based on the legend of Robin Hood, get acquainted with the story of Appeal Studios and Nacon’s Gangs of Sherwood with the story trailer for the game.

As one of the Merry Men, players will be tasked with fighting the armies of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Unfortunately, this oppressive force is wielding the power of the Philosopher’s Stones, allowing him to build up a force of performance-enhanced soldiers, war machines, and terrifying bosses.

Taking control of Robin, Marian, Friar Tuck or Little John, players will pull off combos in co-operative action that supports up to four players.

More of a reader? Be sure to catch up on the written story, quoted below:

’Tis in the far-off Crusades where our tale began,
Where King Richard of England – a splendid man,
Came across the Lionheart, a wondrous jewel,
Holding fabled secrets, and prodigious virtues too.
It drove science to race ahead of the age,
Surpassing the dreams of the most ambitious sage!

Alas, this treasure set the greed of the basest men running,
And the Sheriff of Nottingham seized it through force and cunning.
He harnessed the jewel’s power to oppress the nation,
With neither rights nor peace, robbed and tortured without cessation.
Yet lose not hope, for a rebel band
Prizing honour and justice, is here at hand.
Among them famed archer Robin of Locksley, Maid Marian the beauty,
Stout Friar Tuck, and fearsome Little John ready for duty.

In Sherwood Forest they dwell, defying tyranny,
Taking from the rich to give to the poor, is their philosophy.
War is declared! Answer their call,
Join their ranks, be part of the legend known to all!

The game will come out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on November 2. In the case of Steam, the title can be added to one’s wishlist.
