Mario Kart 8 is approaching fast with roughly a month until the scheduled release date of May 30th, 2014. Nintendo just announced the Mario Kart 8 Premium Pack – Special Edition, a Wii U bundle that will be releasing simultaneously with the game at a price point of £249.99. This is an ideal purchase for gamers looking to get into the world of Nintendo and the Wii U. This bundle will include: A black 32GB Wii U console, a black Wii U GamePad controller, a sensor bar and of course a copy of Mario Kart 8.
Mario Kart 8 appeals to newcomers and veterans of the series. It will have 16 old courses that have been redone as well as 16 brand new courses. On top of this Mario Kart 8 also implements an antigravity feature that will allow for a new level of diversity. Antigravity will allow players to race on walls, upside down and even vertically up or down walls.
Fans of the Mario Kart series will have the ability to pickup two special edition Wii Remote Plus controllers, also launching with the game on May 30th. These Wii Remote Plus controllers are a tribute to two of the most famous Mario Kart racers – Yoshi and Peach. The Wii Remote Plus Yoshi controller will be a green controller in a white shell with the recognizable Yoshi egg on the front. Alongside this, the Wii Remote Plus Peach controller will be pink, with accents in blue and yellow, and a white crown on the front.
