New Characters Announced For Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X News
Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios recently showed off some of the newest additions scheduled to hit the roster of the upcoming Mortal Kombat X, including the daughter of the egocentric Johnny Cage and deadly but beautiful Sonya Blade. Accompanying the announcement was a sneak peek at Kotal Kahn, one of the characters highlighted during the E3 trailer, and the confirmation of several other characters including D’Vorah and the Torr mounted Ferra.

NetherRealm Studios also discussed some new features scheduled to arrive with Mortal Kombat X including the option of selecting one of three variations of each character. The variations shown indicate that each character will have access to multiple fighting styles alongside the iconic weapon-based skillsets made famous by previous games in the Mortal Kombat franchise.

We also heard a little more regarding the story backdrop of Mortal Kombat X. The game takes place directly after the events of Mortal Kombat 9, going as far as 25 years into the future as players progress through the game. The developers have said to expect aged characters and a next-generation of fighters ready to take their place.
