Koei Tecmo’s Samurai Warriors 4 is quickly gearing up to be the most robust entry yet. Those wondering what to expect during their next hack-n-slash jaunt through feudal Japan are covered with dozens of brand-new screens detailing new modes, content, warriors, and more.

Spanning three different warring regions, Samurai Warriors 4 features 55 warriors both old and new. 12 new characters make their debut, including ”Kojuro the Wise,” the “Maid of Misfortune” Koshosho, and the ruler Naotora. In addition, characters like Hanzo, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu, Ina, Masamune, Motochika, Nene, Tadakatsu and Yoshimoto have received updates.

Samurai Warriors 4’s is also packing a number of tweaks under the hood. Series mainstays like the Character Creation mode have received overhauls, along with a new story mode. The new Chronicle Mode also serves as a way for players to document their journeys across Japan while completing various quests, meeting new officers, and collecting items.
