The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Announced for Wii U
In a Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo announced that the development teams are working on two different Legend of Zelda games. In a surprised announcement, Nintendo is developing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in HD for the Wii U. The screens shown in the Nintendo Direct look absolutely breathtaking.
There is no hard set date for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, but it was mentioned in the conference that the title will be available some time in the fall. The game will have some new features compared to the Gamecube version that launched in 2003. There will be a specific Miiverse community along with some new GamePad functionality. Nintendo also talked briefly about making the game playable on the GamePad screen.
The idea behind the new remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker game is that it will buy time for the development team to finish a brand new Legend of Zelda title. Does this mean that the new title will have a Wind Waker art style? Nothing is known for sure yet, but make sure to keep it locked on Gamers Heroes for all of the new Zelda information.
