Tom Clancy’s The Division Beta Breaks Records
The beta, which happened a few weeks ago, had more than 6.4 million players. This makes it the biggest beta ever for a new IP on current generation platforms. On average, players spent 4 hours and 52 minutes as an activated sleeper agent in its war-torn rendition of New York City.
Magnus Jansen, creative director for the game, had some choice words to say about these figures:
“We want to thank the millions of people who joined in on The Division’s Open Beta…we hope everybody enjoyed playing, and we think the beta is going to help ensure a great launch for the game. We’re looking forward to everyone getting their hands on the full game when The Division is released on March 8th.”
Tom Clancy’s The Division will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 8, 2016.
