Aliens: Fireteam Announced

Inspired by the hit Alien franchise, Cold Iron Studios has announced the cooperative third-person survival shooter Aliens: Fireteam.

In this title, players will be part of a fireteam of hardened marines stationed aboard the USS Endeavor. Five unique classes (Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon) can be chosen, and each has their own character perks and special abilities. To make the fight a bit more even, more than 30 weapons and 70 mods/attachments are available.

Each of these soldiers are thrown into a desperate fight to combat the Xenomorph threat. 20 different enemy types, including 11 different Xenomorphs (including Facehuggers and Praetorians) will be included. Players will also be able to experience a story that takes place 23 years after the original Alien trilogy.

According to Craig Zinkievich, Head of Cold Iron Studios:

“With Aliens: Fireteam, you and your friends will experience stepping into the boots of a squad of hardened Colonial Marines fighting in the ultimate battle for survival. This is the action game Aliens fans have been waiting for – hordes of different Xenomorphs swarming over ceilings and across walls, surrounding your team and striking from every angle. Work together, customize your character, utilize tons of weapons and gear and…well, you just might get your fireteam out alive.”

Josh Valensi, Executive Producer, 20th Century Games, added:

“We’re thrilled to be working with the team at Cold Iron Studios on this new chapter in the Alien franchise. Aliens: Fireteam expands the story into new corners of the universe, as the Colonial Marines aboard the USS Endeavor desperately battle to survive a universe of sinister corporate secrets, ancient alien ruins, and deadly Xenomorph legions. Alien fans should prepare for a Xenomorph fight like no other.”

The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam this summer.
