Final Fantasy XV Elemancy Guide – How To Make The Most Powerful Spells

Final Fantasy XV Elemancy Guide - How To Make The Best Spells
One of Final Fantasy 15’s most exciting elements is the Elemancy system. This Final Fantasy XV Elemancy Guide will show you how to make the best spells, Firaga, Thundaga and Blizzaga as well as other exciting tidbits of information.

Elemancy is a feature that becomes available very early in the game. Noctis is able to withdraw elemental magic from certain nodes scattered around the game world. Most of the camping locations feature nodes for Fire, Lightning and Ice, the fundamental elements in Elemancy in Final Fantasy XV. You can hold up to 99 of each.

You must have an empty Magic Flask to create a spell and store it, these are rewarded as you progress through the main story up to a total of 5. Each Magic Flask can hold any type of spell so obviously the magic system becomes much more useful once you gather more Magic Flasks.

Select an empty Magic Flask and then choose your element. Put 99 of that element into the Magic Flask. Once you’ve unlocked a few potency buffs from the leveling system you’ll be able to create higher level spells without additional items but for the most part, you’ll need 99 of one element and then some special items.

The type of spell, such as Fire, Fira or Firaga, is totally dependent on the Potency section when creating a spell. The base spell of Fire, Blizzard and Thunder, is anything under <100 Potency. Once you reach 100 Potency the spells are upgraded to the next level - Fira, Blizzara and Thundara. You are able to use other elements to boost the Potency a little. For example 99 Fire at my level creates a Fira x3 129 Potency spell. I can add 60 Lightning to create Fira x3 163 Potency - if I add anymore it becomes a different type of spell. Now to boost further you place an item by clicking the blank space at the bottom of the Elemancy wheel. This brings up the item menu. Explore the different items, each have their own effect. The rarest items increase potency, so a Giant Hoof would increase my Potency to 205, creating a Firaga spell. This is the same for all of the elements. Reach 200 Potency through combining elements and adding items to create Firaga, Blzzaga and Thundaga. There's tons of other item effects you can play with. Be sure to check out our ultimate leveling fast guide for details on spells that can give you massive exp boosts.

Making Quintcast & Other Huge Damaging Spells

To make spells even more powerful you can add items that add Dualcast, Tricast, Quadcast and Quintcast. These add further uses of the spell up to 5 times. For example, adding a Magitek Booster to a spell will provide the Quintcast buff, so you can cast Fire, Fira or Firaga up to 5 times with one u se. You can get Magitek Boosters very easily from the troops that drop from the ships or outside the capital city once you’ve progress through the story.
