How To Get Blood Essence In V Rising

Blood Essence is a vital resource to fuel your Castle Heart. This guide on How To Get Blood Essence In V Rising will tell you everything you need to know to gather as much Blood Essence as you’ll need to keep your Castle Heart full of fuel so you can use your other production buildings to make more items.

Your Castle Heart acts as the central operations hub of your castle. If the Castle Heart does not have a regular supply of Blood Essence, your buildings and other devices will not function and the Castle Heart will decay over time, making it vulnerable to other players and attacks from nearby NPC camps. As such, you’ll want to make sure you have a regular supply of Blood Essence to ensure your buildings can keep operating and your castle remains healthy.

As the name suggests, Blood Essence can be gathered from most enemies that would realistically have blood. So, for example, you wouldn’t find Blood Essence from defeating skeletons and other undead types. However, you will find tons of Blood Essence from fighting things like human enemies and animals. Reliable places to farm Blood Essence are Bandit Camps, similar to those shown in the image above.

So far, we’ve tested both, but there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference between just killing enemies or feeding off them, they seem to drop the same amount of Blood Essence either way. So if you want to get as much Blood Essence as possible from enemies, just do whatever kills them the fastest.

Later in the game you can construct a Blood Press that can create more Blood Essence.
