Where To Find All Allies In Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Allies are the backbone of Naoe’s operations in Japan. Through allies, you can unlock new scouting opportunities, combat abilities, and more
Allies
Blacksmith
When you visit your hideout, after enough story progress, you will get a mission from Tomiko. You can then travel to Sakai, locate the Blacksmith, and rescue him. You will find him at the location marked above.
Yaya
After the story mission to defeat Wakasa of The Onryo, Yaya’s mission will appear. Complete the Stray Dogs mission to recruit Yaya as an ally.
There are conversation choices during this quest that may remove any opportunity to recruit her. During the dialog sequences, focus on the forgiveness options and she will join you.
Gennojo
After you kill The Fool from the Onyru or Shinbakufu, Gennojo’s quest will appear. Once you have completed several quests for him, he will join as an ally.
You need to make sure he does not die during the final conversation choice for his quest chain.
Katsuhime
Katsuhime is a combat ally, specializing in the Teppo. She can be recruited by completing her quest chain that becomes available after you assassinate The Naginata Shinbakufu member in the main story
Oni-yuri
There is a series of quests in Wakasa, at Sotomo Gate, it starts with Sweet Lies. Finish the quest chain with Oni-yuri, and at the end of the quest, you can recruit her as an ally.
Ibuki
Ibuki is another ally that can join you. Head to Iga in Hijiyama. There is a quest to the South of the village called Ambush Interrupted. Start this quest chain to recruit Ibuki, you must use Yasuke for this quest.
When you are faced with the conversation choices, choose “I have changed”, “I would forgive him”
Yagoro
You can recruit Yagoro by starting the quest A Blade in the Dark. It begins in Harima, at Engyoji. Once you have started the quest, you need to track the killer.
You can find the killer just North of where the quest starts, at Hideyoshi Camp.
Scouts
Monta & Shinobu
Monta can be found near the stream, just South West of Naoe’s first hideout, in the Katano Foothills.
Osato
Osato is unlocked as a Scout when you construct a Study at the Hideout
Niko
Upgrade the Study at the hideout to level 2
Nana
Upgrade the Study to level 3
Shido
Shido will join as a Scout once you have completed his quest, The Pirate Alliance.
Munetoshi
Defeat Yagyu Munetoshi in Nobutsuna’s Students quest. This is a quest from Yasuke’s sensei, it becomes available after you reach a certain point in the story
Sen No Rikyu
Complete his side quest and find all of Rikyu’s Tea Bowls.
