No More Heroes is a Single player, Action-Adventure Beat ’em up for the Nintendo Wii released in Europe March 14, 2008. It was directed by Goichi Suda,developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Marvelous Entertainment , Ubisoft and Rising star games. A sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, was first released in North America on January 26, 2010. In addition A port of the game called No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with additional content in Japan.
During your Adventure through the game, the player controls the character Travis Touchdown. The game has a free roaming, sandbox world feel where you can walk around on foot or by scooter.The Gameplay is open-ended, with the goal of killing the top ten assassins to make the storyline progress.plenty of side quests to earn money which can be spent on weapons and other equipment.Control is handled through the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment, the Remote controlling Travis’ weapon, the beam katana, and the Nunchuk moving Travis in addition the “death blow” and sword lock struggles are executed by following on-screen instructions.
The story follows Travis Touchdown living in poverty in the No More Heroes motel of the fictional town of Santa Destroy.After winning a beam katana in an internet auction, he runs out of money to buy video games and wrestling videos. Travis takes on a job that pits him against other assassins. Very much like bounty hunter. Along the way Travis discovers he is getting in way over his head and meets people along the way who reveal to him that if he stops killing the other assassins, he too will end up on the receiving end of another assassins blade. Believing there is no way out now. Travis decides to see things through to the end.
No more Heroes has a unique story, gameplay, and sense of humor. Winning it awards and high Ratings from various reviews.Nintendo Power gave it an 8/10 an also listed it as the 7th best Wii game to date. A 2010 sequel named No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle has been developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Ubisoft in the U.S. on January 26, 2010 and wasreleased on May 28, 2010 in Europe by Rising Star Games for the Wii. The Japanese version was released October 21, 2010.
