These metal orbs with symbols on them are tied to another quest. Once you are in Gerudo Town, in the sanctuary below the main city, you will find a lady inspecting a stone monument. Speaking to her starts the quest Heroines Secret, where she tasks you with finding 4 Stelae and taking a photograph.

What To Do With Metal Orbs With Symbols In Gerudo Town

Once you have completed this initial stage she shares her findings with you and tells you of a mysterious new character in the history of the Gerudo. This begins the quest The Mysterious Eighth. In this quest you are tasked with locating 7 of the metal orbs with symbols on them and returning them to the sanctuary.

There’s a small room with 7 statues inside. Each statue has a symbol on the front.
