Yakuza 0 Goro Majima Substories Guide
We will break these up into chapters because that seems to be how they unlock. You start playing as Majima in Chapter 3 and start getting his side stories then as well.
Chapter 3 Substories
This story is located here on the map.
A guy will randomly approach you and you will have to fight him. He asks you to help him get his pants back. Go to the marker on the map and you will fight a dude with quite a bit of HP. He pays out well, I got 10 Mill and I didn’t have any CP upgrades or anything. Follow the next two way points and you will complete the story. Majima makes a remark saying they will meet again.

Talk to the girl there and Majima will tell her to go home. Enter the arcade and play a game, come out and some thugs will start harassing her. Take them down and the girl will tell you she wants the red squirrel from the grab machine inside. That will beat the mission but you can still upgrade your friendship with her by getting her the doll.
You can get this from Fei Hui after he teaches Majima his second stance. You can find him at his shop in The Dragon & Tiger Sotenbori. In order to get training from him you will have to upgrade some of your skills. I haven’t unlocked it yet so you need to get the 2 million ones at least.
Chapter 4 Substories
This substory can be found here.
He wants you to help him find a fake necklace for his girlfriend. Go to the way point and Majima will meet a Forger who agrees to build the necklace. Go back to the guy and tell him to meet him at the Forger’s office. After that go check the office and you will fight some men with weapons. At the end of the mission you will get a secret wallet.

Speak to the statue man to start the quest. You will have to go do something else then return to complete his quest. When you get back he will need you to create some distractions so he can move. First tell everyone there is a UFO above. Then you have to sing a song to distract them. Of course the thing you should of done in the beginning happens, you get into a fight. That creates a good enough distraction for the statue man to escape. You will get a Staminan X for your trouble.
You will likely run into this one while going through the city, it is here on the map if not.
When you approach a girl will ask you to be her boyfriend and you will get three choices to give her. Tell her you want to start as friends and she will give you a whole story about her dad coming to visit. When you agree to help her you will go to dinner with her and her dad. When you start chatting you will get some dialogue choices. First introduce yourself and say pleased to meet you sir. For the job pick dentist. When he askes how you met, pick we sat next to each other at a movie. When he asks what you like about his daughter, don’t pick the omelet because that back fires. My guess is you have to pick the childlike and innocent thing. After all that, the date is over and quest is complete. You get five pieces of Fluorite as a reward.
A guy will bump into you here on the map.
After he bumps into you, head to the way point at the store. If you have some healing item, hand one over and he will thank you. He will run off to another Errand, even after Majima breaks the news to him. He will reappear here after a little while and next he will want some Sneakers. Finally, the third time you meet him, he will ask you to deliver the item to the girl. When you get there you will have to face her boyfriend in a fight. When errand boy comes you can tell the truth or pretend nothing is wrong. Surprise, surprise, when you tell him the truth he already knows. After you finish the mission, he will be at the river and he will run random errands for you.

When you approach a mother will be asking about her daughter and the people in white will threaten her daughter. Talk to the mother and she will be concerned about what they are doing to her daughter. You will join the cult in order to figure out whats going on. She will give you a Handmade Amulet before you leave. Go to the mark and talk to the people in white and tell them you want to join the Munan Chohept Onast. When you get to Iori, tell her you are Chohept Onast and she will rise to you. Next do the greeting with the pose.
When you get to the test pick Onast, Shooreh Pippi is the second answer, Circle with the left hand, then bring palms together and finally Suzuki. The guru will give you an item when you finally meet him. When Iori comes, pick Your mom is going to be heartbroken. You will have to fight the Guru after and he is worth some cash. You will get a Traveler’s Amulet, this will help with your equipment searches.
If you use the phone booth here, a guy will chat to you about his purse phone.
Agree to check out the bag phone to get the quest. He will need a battery, which you can pick up at Don Quijote Sotenbori on the south side of the area. Next he will need a healing item, give him a weak one and he will be fine. Then some thugs will attack him and you will have to beat them down. After you beat them down, meet him M Store Shofukucho across the bridge. Enter the store and come out again to talk to the Shoulder phone dude and complete the mission. You can now use him as a save point.
This one can be found right near the shrine.
You will find some guy being yelled at by other men near the shrine. As I’m sure you expected, you have to fight the guys surrounding the tax man. Agree to help him with Taxation and he will chat to you some more. The first answer is to Provide Public Services. I’m not sure the second answer matters but he agreed with Tobacco. Third answer is gas. The last answer I chose was 5% but he said something about 8% so that might be the answer he wants to hear. Your reward will be a piece of Ashwood.

Talk to the couple outside of the stand here and listen to their conversation. Agree to help him and you will take on the crossword puzzle. The first answer is Mashed. The second answer is Popcorn. The third is Shoulder phone, never heard of those. The last one was just a guess but it turned out to be Soy Sauce. You will get three Pearls as a reward.

There is a guy on the ground next to the bridge here. Give him a healing item and he will ask you to escort him across the bridge. Run ahead of him to get the jump on some of the Goons so he doesn’t take as much damage. I used the Bat stance to beat people multiple people down at the same time. He will reward you with the Encounter Finder after you complete the mission.
This can also be found in the park.
Talk to the man standing near the tree. There will be a scene and he will tell you about how he is the father but his ace has been changed. Leave and come back later for the next part. When you return to the park, ask the kid what he is up to. As I’m sure you can guess, the Yakuza find him. The run off after the dad leaves. When you come back next time the mom is there alone and she approaches you. When you get done talking to her, go to the kid and you will return to the park with him. Beat the goons and you will get the Sakura Storm sword and beat the mission.

Leave a response on the stall and leave, you will have to come back later. When you return, you will have to write what you are like. I chose I wear a suit to work but you can try the others if you want. When you next return she will ask you to meet her at a phone booth. When you get there, it is a trap as I’m sure you were expecting. Beat them down and you get the Calming Towel.

When you get in line some wild old lady cuts in front of you. You can either let her cut or try to move her. I tried to move her and got called a pervert and she yelled for help. After she left the guy selling food told me a bit about her. Seems like we will meet again. I walked away a bit and then went back to the stand and interacted with it. Again you cannot get her to move. The third time she is in trouble and you help her out. She gives you a kiss as a reward and the mission is complete.
Simply head to the location above and watch any of the erotic videos in the Gandhara Sotenbori video store. That will start and end this Substory, you can also befriend the clerk.
Progress through the story until you come across the break dancers on the bridge. Komeki will appear and talk to you. After you finish that part of the mission and the girl leaves you can head to the park and train with Komeki. Complete the first Warrior Arts training to complete this Substory
Chapter 7 Substories
Head to the Komian store and purchase any dish. This will start and end this Substory, you can also befriend Komians Chef.
Head to the bar marked on the map above and purchase any drink. to begin and end this Substory.
Head to this location to activate Mr Moneybags so you can trade cash from this side.
Head to the location marked on the map, it’s a payphone. When you get close it begins to ring, answer the phone to start this Substory. You need to find and deliver a 9mm Pistol. If you don’t already have one you can either purchase or find one at the Dragon & Tiger – although the reward is only 200,000 Yen and the gun is much more expensive. Following that he will ask for a Chinese Broadsword. You only have to complete the first stage to finish the Substory but further missions will befriend Simon.
Head to the SEGA Hi-Tech Land and play a game of Space Harrier. That will open and complete this Substory. You can also befriend Kyoko
Once you have met Areshi and his break-dancing friends on the bridge during the story you can head to the location above to begin training. Passing the first training mission will complete the Substory.
Chapter 8 Substories
During Chapter 8 head to the Gandhara Sotenbori store and try to go inside. You’ll encounter Sotenbori’s Mr Libido. This completes the Substory and also adds the option to befriend Mr Libido.
You need to find and defeat Mr Shakedown to begin this Substory. You then have to find and defeat him again to complete the Substory.
After you obtain the Sunshine Club you have to complete all of Yuki’s training. This includes all of the interview trainings, the Karaoke and the Disco. After that, you’ll learn she’s meeting someone. The Substory becomes available as soon as you complete her last training.
Once you defeat Mars Club in the Sunshine Club mini-game you get to explore inside the club. Head into the back room and you’ll hear the radio. This starts the Postcard Substory for Majima, it works the same as the previous version of the Substory. I chose to write about the the Fake Heart Necklace.
This Substory is another connected to Mr Shakedown. You need to find the large bald guy wearing cargo pants, Oe-san. I found him on the Iwao Bridge (Eastern Bridge) during the night time scenes of Chapter 8. Defeat him to complete the Substory.
This Substory is at the Maharaja Disco place. Head inside, you need to complete 3 different dances. Then leave and return. Once inside you’ll get a Substory to win in a dancing competition.
After you complete Goro Majima Substory #66 – Party At Majaraja leave and re-enter to do another dancing competition
After you complete Goro Majima Substory #67 – Disco Transformation exit and return to do the final dancing competition. You can also get a Gold Hostess here.
Chapter 11 Substories
This is a direct follow on from the Goro Majima Substory #59 – Postcard Rookie – Majima Substory. Head back into the Sunshine Club and use the table again to submit another story. This time around I wrote about the Pretend Boyfriend and that worked first time.
This is a direct follow on from the Goro Majima Substory #60 – Postcard Pro – Majima Substory. Once again return to the Sunshine club and write another story. This time I wrote about Crossed Words, that got accepted although I wrote 3 previous before choosing that one. You get Benkei’s Amulet, an item that increases chances to find rare weapons.
This is one from the Sunshine Club. You need Ai as a Platinum Hostess. Once you defeat Club Mars and put them out of business she will join Sunshine. Finish all of her training and offer to go to the bridge with her. That will complete this Substory.
Head to the location marked on the map above. There’s a poster on the wall near a trash can. Read the poster to begin this Subquest. Simply head to the objective. You’ll have to complete a fight with dropping HP so bring some healing items with you.
You get Saki as a Platinum Hostess once you defeat Club Jupiter and put them out of business. You need to complete all of her training and at the very end you’ll start a Substory to get her out of a sticky situation.
You need to get Chika as a Platinum Hostess. To hire Chika as a Platinum Hostess you need to defeat Club Venus and put them out of business. Then proceed to complete all of her training and you’ll get this Substory.
You need to get Mana as a Platinum Hostess. Then proceed to complete all of her training and you’ll get this Substory.
You need to get Hibiki as a Platinum Hostess. Then proceed to complete all of her training and you’ll get this Substory.
This is very similar to Kiryu’s final Substory. You must complete every other Substory for Majima and then you get paged. It’s another very tough fight so make sure you save beforehand and go in with as many healing items and powerful weapons as possible.
